Indian Peaks

The weekend weather was just about perfect. In the high country, the temps got up around into the 70's, just warm enough to feel good in the sun. The trees are turning fast, but plenty of the aspens were ablaze with color.

I've been wanting to get into the Indian Peaks Wilderness for quite a while and finally got the chance. I went hiking with some friends from school, up the Mt. St. Vrain trail near Allenspark. We did just a bit of work and avoided all the crowds that were up enjoying the weather and trees. Can't say that I blame them, but it doesn't meant that I want to join them.
